Do it! Do it now. You can prevent some of the bad feeling that comes when you cannot hear what someone is saying!

A gradual problem with needing people to repeat themselves was when I first realized I had a hearing challenge. It was a gradual problem and then, suddenly, I was being thought of as a deaf person. I was concerned I was going deaf, but my first impression of Brampton Hearing Aid was that they were smart, professional, friendly, my savior.

It took several adjustments to get used to my hearing aids, but the clinic helped me with no complaints. Now, I can adjust the volume based on my surroundings and I feel back in control. Their welcoming attitude is my favorite thing, they always help me every time I visit, and the coffee is good. I had tried several others before I discovered this clinic. They are the best. If you are concerned about your hearing, do it now. You can prevent some of the bad feeling that comes when you cannot hear what someone is saying.

Life is so much better when your hearing is normal.

I didn’t think I had a hearing problem until my wife suggested I get it checked, since she had to repeat herself a lot. My main concern before contacting Brampton Hearing Aid was that hearing aids would be very bulky, though I was really more concerned about comfort than appearances. My first impression was a very nice office and pleasant staff who put me at ease right away.

Since wearing hearing aids, I hear things a lot clearer and noticed how much I used to lean forward just to hear better. I do sometimes forget to take them out before showering, but overall, I feel life is so much better now that my hearing is back to normal. I would tell anyone, "You have nothing to lose. Go in and hear them out, they’re very knowledgeable." My favourite thing about the clinic is definitely the staff.

You will be amazed to realize how much you are missing and how much better you will feel and function with aids.

When I was very young after moving to Canada from Scotland, I realized something was up with my ears. People couldn't understand me, both because of my accent and how I pronounced words, and my parents noticed I didn't pay attention when being spoken to. Since then, hearing aids have become a part of me and my identity. I would be absolutely lost without my aid; I function a thousand times better with it, feel far more connected to everything around me, and the world turns on for me.

I've been going to the clinic for decades and would never go anywhere else because their connections with clients are bar none. If you're concerned about your hearing, do not hesitate. Go and get it checked, and if you need help, get the best aid you can afford. You’ll be amazed at how much you’ve been missing and how much better you’ll feel and function with hearing aids.

Let the pros do their job.

At 17, when I started working on the phone, I first realized I had a hearing challenge and found out I was 80% deaf. I didn't have any concerns before contacting Brampton Hearing Aid. My first impression was that they offered better customer service than what I was getting elsewhere. Now that I wear hearing aids, I have to say I'm 99% deaf, so without them I would not be who I am. My favourite thing about working with the clinic is that everyone is always smiling, and I like that a lot. If someone is concerned about their hearing, I would just say let the pros do their job.

Isolation has far worse outcomes.

Hearing my soft-spoken director at work was when I first realized I might have a hearing challenge. My first impression of Brampton Hearing Aid was friendly, helpful service tailored to my needs. Everything was well explained, with no surprises. I am non-functional without my hearing aids now. They are kind, and I would tell anyone concerned about their hearing that while it is a difficult transition to learn to adjust to the loud world, isolation has far worse outcomes.

Stephen W.

If you are concerned about your hearing, I would say go to them.

I was partially deaf in my left ear since childhood, and later suffered trauma on my right ear during a wax flush when a specialist conclaved my eardrum. My hearing was severely impaired, and I was only in my early 30s when I had my first hearing aid. For me, with such severe impairment, not getting a hearing aid was not a choice but a necessity. To me at that time, visiting Brampton Hearing Aid was an important factor in my life. Hearing aids have been a tremendous need for me.

If you are concerned about your hearing, I would say go to them.

Margherita D.

A hearing loss is more noticeable than a hearing aid.

In my early 40s, I first realized I had a hearing problem, which made me feel inferior to others my age and younger, since I thought hearing loss only happened to old people. For several years, I was in denial and resisted seeing a doctor, worried I was aging prematurely and that other negative issues might surface. When I read an advertisement that said "a hearing loss is more noticeable than a hearing aid," I decided to act, saw my doctor, and was referred to Brampton Hearing Aid in 1999.

My first impression of the clinic was that these people definitely know what they are doing, and I continue to have this impression after 27 years. I wear my hearing aids every day during every activity except sleeping. They allowed me to achieve career successes that would have been practically impossible otherwise. Now retired, my hearing aids keep me connected to others and help maintain my mental health. Brampton Hearing Aid are professionals who truly helps their clientele achieve the best hearing experience possible. Anyone concerned about their hearing should consider visiting them, as they have maintained my hearing capabilities for the past 27 years.

Robert G.

I always get the feeling that they truly care about you and what is best for you.

At 25, I first realized I had hearing challenges while at work, struggling to hear a customer on the phone. I wasn't surprised, since hearing loss runs in my family, but I felt scared about how quickly it might decline and worried I would become isolated from friends and family. My biggest concern was that I was losing my hearing and would have to struggle for the rest of my life.

My first impression of Brampton Hearing Aid was great. I walked in without a referral, not knowing who to turn to, but the staff still took me in and explained how I could get a referral to see the audiologist. I was so grateful they took the time to help. The audiologists, technicians, and staff are always professional, kind, and make me feel completely comfortable. My favourite thing about the clinic is their willingness to help when needed. For example, Jill quickly provided and thoughtfully wrote a letter for my college’s disability department, which confirmed they really understand what it’s like for us.

Mary G.

Don't hesitate. With none to compare them with, they are the best, in my humble opinion.

I had to be coaxed into getting my hearing checked and taking action back in 1989, when I was 52. My only real concern before contacting Brampton Hearing Aid was the cost, but I knew I had to do something. From the very beginning, when Carmen owned the company, I have never been anywhere else and am on my sixth pair of hearing aids. Hearing aids have been the only way for me, I am all but stone deaf without them, though sometimes that has its advantages. My favourite thing about the clinic is the friendliness and the sense of being part of a family. I feel safe and understood in their company. To anyone concerned about their hearing, I would say don't hesitate; in my humble opinion, they are the best.

Give them a chance. Follow-up services are fantastic.

Twelve years ago, while training sales reps at customer locations, I first realized I might have a hearing challenge. I was concerned I would look foolish in a male-dominated industry. My first impression of Brampton Hearing Aid was that they are service-oriented. The appointment booking and service have been great, and the follow-up services are fantastic. With my hearing aids, I can hear my wife, so I’m still married. I’d tell anybody concerned about their hearing to give them a chance.

Keith M.

It will help!

It wasn’t a moment when I realized my hearing challenge. It snuck up on me slowly and has troubled me more as time went on. My hearing started out as only a slight issue, but got worse over the years, and I was always afraid of missing something important. When I first visited Brampton Hearing Aid, I was a bit nervous but depended on their knowledge and help. The clinic has helped me hear things I wouldn’t have before. My favourite thing about working with them is everything.

Joycelyn S.

There is nothing shameful or embarrassing about needing extra help to live life the best way. There is so much to hear!

I was born with my hearing loss, so I’ve never known life to be any different or remember a specific moment of realization. Brampton Hearing Aid has always been a part of my everyday normality, like a second family. I have never felt worried, judged, or embarrassed, and I’m confident calling anytime because everyone is the friendliest and kindest.

My hearing aids make it possible to function and live a regular life. I’ve been successful in my relationships, career, and education, and life without hearing aids would not be possible. To anyone concerned about their hearing, I’d say: DO IT. There is no better time than now, and there is nothing shameful about needing extra help to live life the best way. There is so much to hear!

Jamie B.

To anyone concerned about their hearing, I would say don’t deny yourself a better quality of life.

Having had chronic ear infections at a young age, I didn’t realize how much it affected my hearing until I found myself missing conversations and really having to listen to follow along. In my early forties, I decided I needed hearing aids. My only concern before contacting Brampton Hearing Aid was about affordability and whether I would need one or two hearing aids. From my first impression, I felt comfortable and in good hands. Hearing aids have made a simple but crucial difference in my life, since I am a professional salesperson and my livelihood depends on me being able to hear my customers’ needs. I have been professionally taken care of for many years, and they treat their patients like family. The friendly staff and atmosphere make me look forward to my appointments. To anyone concerned about their hearing, I would say don’t deny yourself a better quality of life.

Go for it!

Adrienne has struggled with her hearing since she was a teenager.

She recalls, "My hearing loss started early in life. I was in high school when I realized I was missing too much being taught. At first, I just felt like I was not smart. I did not want to wear a hearing aid. I didn't want to look different. I didn't want to be dependent on an aid.”

Eventually, despite her reservations, Adrienne decided to seek help and visited Brampton Hearing Aid Services. "I started years ago with Carmen,” she says. “Jill was just a kid but very professional."

Adrienne particularly likes the flexibility the office offers its patients. “I like being able to visit the office at any time to have my aids maintained,” she says. Additionally, “the cookies and coffee in the waiting room” are a nice personal touch.

Overall, Adrienne has been satisfied with her hearing aids, though crowded environments are still challenging for her. She says of her aids, "Of course they have helped me hear when with three or four others, but more than that is unmanageable.”

Giving Brampton Hearing Aid Services an 8/10 rating, Adrienne advises others, “Go for it! Not hearing isolates people.”

You can have full trust

When Dick became aware of his hearing loss, he wondered what the future would hold and “how I would adapt.”

He decided to turn to Brampton Hearing Aid Services for help, based upon their good reputation within the community. He had “no fears for I knew the past history on the company” and “the reputations of good service and excellent products were well known to myself.”

Dick recalls that he “felt in good hands” during his first appointment, and he’s been with Brampton Hearing Aid Services ever since. He especially likes the “friendly staff.”

Hearing aids have since been an essential part of his life. “After many years as a wearer, I would find it difficult to function without my hearing aids,” Dick shares.

Rating Brampton Hearing Aid Services a 9/10, Dick advises potential patients, “Putting off having better hearing is not wise. You can have full trust that Brampton Hearing Aid Services will be there for you.”

They are always available to help

Ida was mostly concerned about how her hearing loss “was negatively impacting my career.”

She explains, “Unless I was facing people and straining to read lips, I was missing out on information – especially in meetings when it was crucial that I heard and understood everything that was said.”

Yet she admits that “vanity” was holding her back from seeking help. “I couldn't bear the thought of people seeing I wore hearing aids,” she says.

Eventually, Ida “ended up buying one hearing aid.” She says doing so “put my fears

if not at rest, at least made me feel comfortable enough to be able to bear wearing the hearing aid.”

Ida is happy with her experience at Brampton Hearing Aid Services. “They are always available to help,” she says. Ida considers the team “very understanding” and says they “treat you with the respect you deserve.” She adds, “They get to know you as a person.”

Despite her reservations, Ida is thrilled with her new hearing aids. “I can hear!” she says. Plus, she no longer has “anxiety when I speak to someone that I’m going to miss out on something important.”

Ida gives Brampton Hearing Aid Services a 10/10 rating. She advises others, “Go for it! Don’t wait. It definitely improves your quality of life.”

Every visit is great!

Jeannie’s hearing loss was playing havoc with her life.

She recalls, “I was turning the TV up to the highest to hear, asking people to repeat themselves over and over. FeeIing left out of conversations because I wasn't able to hear properly. I couldn't hear on the phone to do my job. That is when I said to myself it's time to do something about my hearing. I need to work and do my job to the fullest.”

Prior to visiting Brampton Hearing Aid Services, Jeannie says, “My biggest concern was that people would see [my hearing aids] and that I would feel embarrassed. But what I didn't know is that you can get them small, and no one could see them!”

At her appointment, Jeannie was impressed with “how patient and kind you guys were/are,” and she’s “always been so happy and satisfied with my every visit.”

Jeannie is thrilled with her new hearing aids. “So happy now!” she exclaims. “I have my life back and had the best professional care all through my journey with my hearing aids. Hearing aids have given me my life back! I'm more social and my job is so much easier now.”

Rating Brampton Hearing Aid Services a 10/10, Jeannie shares why she rates them so highly. “Don’t wait! Go check it out, you WON'T be disappointed. Jill and services there is an A plus plus!!! You know every visit is great!” she says. “When I walk in, I'm treated awesome. The ladies at the front are very friendly and professional. Jill is amazing. She is a complete expert in what she does. I'm always happy leaving there.”

Jeannie S.

They really like what they do

Joe was struggling to follow conversations. He recalls, “I realized that I was having to ask my wife to constantly repeat herself. It was much worse if I was not facing her. It became an embarrassment to me and to my companion.”

Brampton Hearing Aid Services wasn’t Joe’s first attempt at getting help. “I used a different company for my first set of hearing aids. It was satisfactory but not pleasant,” he says. “On my second appointment, I chose Brampton Hearing Aids. That was close to 30 years ago, and after several moves, I now travel about an hour each way to visit this organization when there is literally a large hearing aid company less than five minutes from my house.”

Joe says the team is “honest, friendly, courteous and always willing to help.” He adds, “They are not ‘clock watchers’ and your appointment ends when you are satisfied. There is never a hint of rushing to get you out the door. They take all the time that is necessary to ensure that you are happy with the visit.”

Rating Brampton Hearing Aid Services a 10/10, Joe has plenty of advice for potential patients to consider. He says, “Hearing loss affects every part of your life. While hearing aids are never as effective as your own normal hearing, they allow you to once again become an active party in the surrounding conversations because you are able to hear all of the discourse, not just 50 percent.

“If you are hesitant about taking the first step to improving your hearing, let the people at Brampton Hearing Aid Services help you. I get the impression that these friendly people are in this profession because they really like what they do and for them it’s not just a ‘job.’ They will help you at every step on your journey, and when you leave with your new aids, you won’t just feel as though you have completed a very satisfactory transaction, you will feel that you have made a new and helpful friend.”

Joe concludes, “You don’t just go for an appointment, you are also meeting a friend who just happens to be able to help you.”

Joseph S.

I hear conversations more clearly now

Recalling her life before hearing aids, Ruth says, “My biggest concern was that I was being a nuisance asking people to constantly repeat what they said. And I couldn’t seem to tune my guitar properly.”

Ruth contacted Brampton Hearing Aid Services for an appointment. She soon found herself in good hands. “The staff are most pleasant and helpful in making decisions regarding the type of appropriate hearing device. They are very patient in the decision-making process and answer all questions related to each person’s hearing aid desires and requirements,” says Ruth.

Following her comprehensive hearing assessment, Ruth was prescribed hearing aids. Conversations are now easier for her to follow. She shares, “Hearing aids have greatly improved my interaction with people in that I hear conversations more clearly now and ask for repeats more infrequently."

Giving Brampton Hearing Aid Services an 8/10 rating, Ruth advises others “to at least get a hearing test to determine if there is a hearing loss and to what degree.”

Ruth F.

Great knowledge

Attempting to pinpoint when he first noticed his hearing loss, Jim believes it was “after the Bell's Palsy attack in 2006 , I think.”

Jim wasn’t immediately concerned, but that changed when he started missing parts of conversations. “As time passed, I found I had missed things and that’s when I went to see Pat at the time for testing,” he recalls.

Since then, Jim has depended on Brampton Hearing Aid Services for his hearing care. “Jill is a super person with great knowledge,” he says. Jim especially likes how the team “can ease you through this sometimes scary time.”

Wearing hearing aids has been a mostly positive experience for Jim. “They are an aid and help but are not a replacement, which is still hard to grasp,” he acknowledges.

Jim rates Brampton Hearing Aid Services a 9/10.

Courteous and knowledgeable

William visits Brampton Hearing Aid Services to get his hearing aids cleaned. He became aware of his hearing loss 15 years ago.

William shares, “I couldn’t hear people at a table. The other noise blocked them out. The first hearing aids I got from another company cost a lot and were terrible. The company said they were out of warranty and I garbaged them.

“I got a pair of Tego on eBay. Had the ears tested and new earpieces made, and the hearing aids tuned to my ears. This is probably five years ago. They work to some extent but not well.

“However, I'm 83, a senior on pension and cannot afford a new set. I do go to your facility to get them cleaned on occasion, and I thank you for that.”

William says the Brampton Hearing team is “excellent,” and he considers them “courteous and knowledgeable,” saying they’ve “helped a lot.” He also likes their “quick service.”

Giving Brampton Hearing Aid Services a 10/10 rating, William says, “I would recommend Brampton Hearing Aid Services without hesitation.”

William G.

Do not hesitate to seek their services. After denying for over ten years that I had a problem I was very surprised by the change in my life by the way hearing aids helped.

My hearing loss developed gradually, and I started noticing it when people would have to repeat themselves in meetings. I didn’t have any fears or concerns before reaching out to Brampton Hearing Aid Services. From the very beginning, I was met with kindness and understanding about what I was experiencing. Working with Dr Black has been especially valuable, she really understands hearing impairment and took the time to explain how to manage different situations, like business meetings, so I could improve my communication skills. I was missing out on so much before I learned how to actually address my hearing loss, and I’ve realized it’s not just the hearing aids themselves, but also things like setting selection and not being afraid to let your colleagues know when you need help. Hearing aids have truly been life changing for me, I’m no longer embarrassed about having hearing loss and my life is so much easier. I denied my problem for over ten years, and the difference after getting help was honestly surprising. If you’re worried about your hearing, do not hesitate to seek their services. My second set of hearing aids made a huge impact on my ability to participate in family activities and at work. Hearing loss is an invisible impairment, unlike needing a wheelchair, people can’t see when you need help hearing or joining in conversations. But with the right support, things can change for the better.

Marguerite C.

Go for it. There are some changes you must be aware of and the sooner you start, the faster it will be solved.

Several years ago, I noticed I was constantly asking people to repeat themselves. At first, I wouldn’t accept that I was losing my hearing, and I also needed to reach a point where I could afford hearing aids, so I put it off until it became a real problem. My first impression was that the team was very professional and well-organized, despite being busy. Initially, I had some issues with getting the right type of hearing aids and proper adjustments, which meant several changes over a few months. However, throughout the process, I was treated with respect and eventually the aids were adjusted to work well for me. What stands out most is that everyone at Brampton Hearing Aid has always been ready to help and has consistently followed up to provide excellent service. To anyone concerned about their hearing, I would say: go for it. The sooner you start addressing the issue, the faster it will be solved.

I can hear the sounds of nature that I never did before.

I first noticed that I had a hard time comprehending what people were saying. I was afraid that I might lose my job and, since I was young, I would have a hard time dating someone. I consulted an ear, nose, and throat specialist who recommended me to visit Brampton Hearing Aid Services. At first, when I entered the waiting room, I had mixed feelings since I was much younger than others there, but that all changed quickly after talking to the Audiologist. Now, it's like night and day. I can carry a conversation without asking people to repeat themselves, and most of all I can hear the sounds of nature that I never did before.

Their friendly and accommodating service stands out. I do highly encourage anyone concerned about their hearing to get hearing aids. I've been a client since the mid-80s and never had anything to complain about.

Joseph A.

I would tell anyone concerned about their hearing to call the clinic as soon as possible.

I noticed my hearing problem when I was 23 years old and pregnant with my second child. It was frustrating, but since it was a heritable problem my mother had, I knew I had to cope with it. My problem started in 1958, long before Brampton Hearing Aid was created, and I hardly knew about hearing aids. I first came across the clinic when I drove my aunt to her appointments, then took my mother-in-law as well. Later, when my own hearing decreased, I was already familiar with the care my relatives had received, so I made an appointment for a hearing test because I was impressed.

The hearing aids have allowed me to live a normal life and be able to communicate with people. The technicians are kind, understanding, and patient with me. I would tell anyone concerned about their hearing to call the clinic as soon as possible.

Audrey S.

Don’t go anywhere else.

I’ve been wearing hearing aids from Brampton Hearing Aid for so long that I forget when I first went there, but I couldn’t be happier with the service. My first impression was that they were always efficient, on time, and friendly. Availability is my favourite thing about working with the clinic, and of course it’s better when you can hear what’s going on around you. I had no concerns before contacting them. If you’re considering getting help with your hearing, don’t go anywhere else.

Pat B.

It is best to find out if there is a problem.

My daughter suggested that I check my hearing because I kept asking people to repeat what was said. I had no concerns before contacting Brampton Hearing Aid, and I was quite comfortable throughout the questions and hearing test. The staff is always welcoming. With my hearing aids, it is much clearer when people speak or I am watching TV. I would say it is best to find out if there is a problem.

Pat M.

Go for a consultation and see what they say.

I felt embarrassed that I had to keep asking people to repeat themselves, so I decided to visit Brampton Hearing Aid. I had no fears before contacting them. I was impressed by how interested they were in helping me and appreciated the friendly, caring atmosphere. Now, I can finally hear what people are saying to me. My advice is to go for a consultation and see what they say.

Jean B.

Opens a whole new world.

Turning up the TV was the first sign that something was up with my hearing. I had no concerns about seeking help, as my doctor and the specialist both supported getting aids. My first impression of Brampton Hearing Aid was that everyone was quite easy going, and all my questions were easily answered. Wearing hearing aids has opened a whole new world for me. The staff will always listen to any issues you have and do their best to help. I would say to anyone considering help to have no concerns about wearing them and Brampton Hearing would be a good place to start.

Andrew F.

It is certainly worth the time to get checked and Brampton Hearing Aid is very reliable and efficient.

I had an accident that caused a loud noise, and over time my family kept saying I was losing my hearing. I kept telling them I was okay, even though they were right. I didn’t want hearing aids, but I finally had testing. The previous owners at Brampton Hearing Aid were wonderful and very reassuring, making me realize hearing aids weren’t the end of the world. Jill and the team are the same, helpful and nice.

I now wear one hearing aid with Bluetooth, since one ear is so bad nothing will help it. I can make the TV loud enough for me to hear without blasting my visitors out. It’s certainly worth the time to get checked, and the clinic is very reliable and efficient.

Donna Y.

It will change your life for the better. Brampton hearing aid is the place to go. You will be happy you did.

About 10 years ago, I first realized I might have a hearing challenge when people would call my name from behind and I kept saying pardon during conversations at work. My biggest concern was missing out on conversations, but I didn't have major fears—just some surprise at experiencing hearing loss in my late 40s. I figured hearing aids would improve my quality of life.

My first impression of Brampton Hearing Aid was that it was very warm and welcoming. All the staff were thorough, patient, and able to answer all my questions. Jill Black is a great audiologist. Hearing aids have truly improved my life. I can join conversations without feeling left out, I love using my aids to watch movies on devices, and I appreciate that they connect to the TV so I can listen through them. If you are concerned about your hearing, Brampton Hearing Aid is the place to go. As soon as you walk in, you feel at home, with coffee, tea, water, and snacks as a nice perk. My favourite thing is simply how welcome I always feel by every staff member.

Kimberley C.

I have a life because of hearing technology; I would be cut off almost entirely without it.

I have had a hearing challenge since childhood. My first impression of Brampton Hearing Aid was that they were friendly and thorough. Hearing technology has given me a life, I would be cut off almost entirely without it. Minor repairs and cleaning are done immediately, on the spot, and they understand how important your hearing is to you.

Don’t waste your time on pride or vanity. I don’t believe that you will be “upsold” at the clinic.

Peter B.

They are good

I first realized I had a hearing challenge when I was having problems hearing from my right ear. I was concerned about having a gadget stuck over my ear, but my first impressions of Brampton Hearing Aid were that they are friendly and knowledgeable. Now, I can better understand conversations, and my favorite thing about working with the clinic is the nice people. To anyone concerned about their hearing, I would say go for it; they are good.

Stephen V.

You couldn’t be in better hands. You will come away knowing what you can expect from wearing a hearing aid.

After a work hearing test, I first realized something was up with my ears when I was referred to an another doctor who confirmed hearing loss significant enough to need a hearing aid. I already knew, from working with someone who used hearing aids, how beneficial they could be, so I was up for the challenge. By the time I was referred to Brampton Hearing Aid for my second device, I was fortunate to work with people who treated me openly, gave me facts, helped me discuss my hearing losses, and took proactive steps for my treatment plan, I felt I was in very good hands.

My first impression was that they are professional, caring people, willing to help me progress through this next phase of my life. My favourite thing about working with them is the friendly atmosphere, the genuine smiles as you are greeted, and the feeling that you are valued. You couldn’t be in better hands. You will come away knowing what you can expect from wearing a hearing aid.

Patricia B.

If you think you might have a problem, get it checked. Don’t wait.

I worked in industries with noisy environments and it kind of sneaked up on me. I think I was in my 40s when I realized I was missing remarks. My doctor sent me to Brampton Hearing Aid and it was confirmed I had a problem. I am now in my nineties and on my 4th set of aids thanks to Jill and other staff. I can now hear my family, friends, and TV. Without aids, I barely hear at all. Over the years, I have found them really helpful, they will go to the limit to help you. They are like family, nothing is too much trouble. My advice is, if you think you might have a problem, get it checked. Don’t wait.

Robert C.

Highly recommended.

In my early fifties, I first realized something was up with my hearing. At first, I was ignorant and thought, I’m not that old, so I had concerns before contacting Brampton Hearing Aid. My first impression was that it was a little intimidating and uncomfortable because I wasn’t sure if I was a good candidate. But the clinic turned out to be very helpful, with excellent service. Hearing aids have impacted my life immensely, and I’m able to hear better and enjoy most conversations and sounds now. Highly recommended.

Celine B.

I would recommend that anyone concerned about their hearing go to the clinic; they will not be disappointed.

At a lunch with a group of ladies, I realized I might have a hearing challenge when I could not hear anyone except the person beside me. Since my mother and husband had hearing aids before me, I knew what to expect and had no concerns before contacting Brampton Hearing Aid. I was very comfortable with the clinic and found the staff nice and helpful. I’ve been wearing hearing aids since 2012 and am quite pleased, as each new set just gets better. The immediate service from the front office staff whenever I had a small problem has been my favourite part of working with the clinic. I would recommend that anyone concerned about their hearing go to the clinic; they will not be disappointed.

Barbara B.

The follow-up care is very much appreciated and included in their care, which may not be available at other hearing aid outlets.

One of the first signs of my hearing challenge was having difficulty hearing at meetings and needing the TV louder than my husband wanted. I chose Brampton Hearing Aid because they had a good reputation and were close to our home. My first impression was that they were very professional. The hearing aids have improved my hearing, even though they cannot make it perfect because of permanent damage to some parts of the hearing process. The follow-up care is very much appreciated and included, which may not be available at other hearing aid outlets. I would highly recommend them.

Elaine W.

I can hear you!

Enid Campbell had been putting off hearing aids for years. At 92 years old, she felt that she “hears fine” and didn’t believe she needed them.

Her daughter encouraged her to at least try demo hearing aids. When Enid finally agreed and the demos were placed on her ears, her reaction was immediate. She began to smile and said, “Oh my gosh, I can hear you!”

That moment changed everything. Enid was suddenly excited about getting hearing aids and realizing how much clearer the world could sound.

Her daughter was just as happy, relieved that she no longer has to yell for her mother to hear her.

They go above and beyond

Fred learned he had a hearing loss thirty years ago “when I got my hearing check at work, they told me.”

This was difficult news for Fred to accept. He recalls, “My hearing was starting to get bad, but I didn’t believe them. I figured they just wanted my business.”

Eventually, Fred did get help, thanks to his doctor’s initiative. “My doctor told me I needed my hearing checked,” he says, and his doctor made an appointment with Brampton Hearing Aid Services for him.

Fred shares, “I was scared at first, but they made me feel like home, and what a difference it made, and no more of my wife saying words over and over again.” He adds that the team was “just so professional and made the best option for me and my family. I made the right move with Brampton Hearing."

They will listen to you

When John’s hearing began to deteriorate, he approached his situation rather calmly. “It [hearing loss] is in the family, so I was not at all surprised,” he says. “For me, this was in 1989 and today I am almost totally deaf without my present hearing aids.”

He recalls that the cost of hearing aids was his main concern at the time. “I was not really prepared to fork out a small fortune,” he says. “But in the long run, I did and couldn’t have survived without my hearing aids.”

John decided to visit Brampton Hearing Aid Services, mainly due to their location. However, John found convenience and so much more in the end. He notes, “It was convenient, and I’ve never been anywhere else. However, everyone was so happy to assist me. No question that I desperately needed hearing assistance.”

He continues, “First Patrick and then Jill were so attentive and ALWAYS willing to 'hear me out.’” John especially likes “the friendliness and understanding you get when talking to them. Nothing is too much trouble even after numerous repeat visits.”

John gives Brampton Hearing Aid Services a 10/10 rating. To anyone considering an appointment, he says, “Take the plunge. They will listen to you and recommend the best for you. As your hearing deteriorates – and it likely will – you really don't have any choice.”

Nice people

Wesley was concerned that his hearing loss would affect his schooling.

He recalls first noticing a hearing challenge “when I was in trades school, and it was hard for me to understand the teacher when I was sitting at the back of the class.” Additionally, he struggled when “in loud settings it sounded like people were mumbling.” Wesley adds, “My biggest concern was that finishing school would be harder because it wasn’t as easy to follow along.”

Upon visiting Brampton Hearing Aid Services, Wesley liked that the office was “well organized,” had a “nice location that is close to home” and had “nice people.” He particularly liked the team’s “sense of urgency.” Wesley adds, “everything I needed they were able to make happen pretty quickly.”

Following his comprehensive hearing assessment, Wesley was prescribed hearing aids. His new devices haven’t just improved his hearing but also his confidence when among others. “They have impacted my life positively because I can always have them on me …any time I might need them,” he says. “And I have less anxiety when it comes to having conversations with new people, worried if I’ll hear them or … constantly ask them to repeat themselves.”

Rating Brampton Hearing Aid Services a 10/10, when asked what advice he’d give others, Wesley replies, “I would say contact them. It doesn’t hurt to get them checked. If I never got my hearing checked with the life I was living, I could have made my hearing loss worse. Now I am aware and can protect the hearing I have left.”

Good and comprehensive service

James was frustrated with his hearing loss and how it was affecting others as well.

According to him, some of the signs that something wasn’t right included “irritating people by asking them to repeat what they said” and “giving up and doing that ‘nodding in agreement’ thing in hopes that it fit the content.” James also felt that he was “getting bad vibes from people – probably from doing that ‘lean in to listen’ thing.”

Upon visiting Brampton Hearing Aid Services, James was impressed with the “friendly people” and the “good and comprehensive service” he received. Following his hearing assessment, James was prescribed hearing aids.

He describes his new devices as “mostly good,” though there is one scenario where he still struggles at times. “What was not fixed was my inability to sort out multiple conversations in the room,” he says. “The ‘cocktail party effect’ does not work for me. I'm sure that this is a processing thing, not a hearing thing.”

Rating Brampton Hearing Aid Services a 9/10, James hopes others will make an appointment. “It is a world of difference in how well you can communicate with people,” he shares. “Don't worry about appearances, as the units are very discreet, subtly coloured, and mostly hidden behind your ear.”

Brampton Hearing Aid Services helped with my worries.

Jill’s hearing challenges began following her COVID vaccination, and she turned to Brampton Hearing Aid Services for help.

She explains, “During the COVID time, after getting my first needle, I started to experience muffled, robotic type hearing symptoms. It eventually went away. Second shot, it happened again. I was referred to my ear doctor.

“After several months of testing, sprays, I eventually saw Jill and thought for sure I would be needing a hearing aid. She fitted me with a custom earplug for my right ear, which already had a hole in the eardrum. Problem was with my left ear. After months of tinnitus, and surgery for the right ear, I have greater improvement, and Brampton Hearing Aid Services helped with my worries.”

Rob, 73, first experienced a noticeable hearing issue when he was 45 years old.

He recalls, “I began asking friends and my spouse to repeat what they had said on an increasingly frequent basis. After a short while, I realized that I was an annoyance. My primary concern was eventually going completely deaf."

However, Rob didn’t seek hearing help at the time. "I struggled for the next three years before contacting a doctor and was referred to Brampton Hearing Aid Services for the testing. I feared the need to use hearing aids and the stigma of the association with old age,” he shares.

Eventually, an advertisement saying “A hearing loss is more noticeable than a hearing aid” convinced Rob to proceed with obtaining hearing aids.

Continuing his story, Rob says his first impression of Brampton Hearing Aid Services was that they were “a top-notch organization,” and he likes their “professionalism and knowledgeable staff.” He says, “The hearing aids over the years have allowed me to interact with society with the stress of partial deafness.”

Leave your fears at home. Jill and the entire staff are there for your benefit, you will be treated as a customer and a friend and will find that the interaction is helpful and pleasant.

As a retired professional airline pilot, I first became aware of my hearing difficulties when I found myself struggling to catch all the conversations in social settings. Back in my late 40s, I hesitated to seek help, knowing it could affect my airline pilot’s license, but once the rules changed, I didn’t look back. Over 30 years ago, I became a client of Brampton Hearing Aid Services, and I’ve returned to Jill Black and her team ever since, even after moving quite a distance away. There was never any fear or concern before contacting them; a friend’s recommendation led me to one of the best decisions I’ve made. From the beginning, it felt less like a business transaction and more like dealing with friends, no high-pressure tactics, only genuine advice with my best interests at heart. The technology keeps getting better, nearly indistinguishable from natural hearing now, and I just received my newest pair of aids, feeling extremely satisfied. To anyone considering a visit, I’d simply say, leave your fears at home; you’ll be treated like a friend, and your experience will be both helpful and pleasant. The caring, friendly attitude of the whole team is my favourite thing.

Joseph S.

I would advise you to go and see what is available and test them. Its a decision only you can make and yes it is a bit overwhelming.

It started to bother me when I couldn’t hear properly during conversations at the table, and sometimes I’d notice afterward that I missed some information. I didn’t have any particular fears before reaching out, though after a doctor told me my hearing likely wouldn’t improve, my daughter encouraged me to consider hearing aids, even if I didn’t know much about them or what they cost. My first impression of Brampton Hearing Aid was very positive. Jill was extremely pleasant and took the time to explain in detail the different hearing aid options and associated costs, which helped me consider my next steps carefully. Now that I wear hearing aids, I can hear much better and clearer, and I feel far more confident participating in discussions, knowing I won’t miss what’s being said. The team is extremely pleasant and accommodating, making you feel at ease and guiding you through your decision process. For anyone concerned about their hearing, I’d advise them to see what’s available and test the options—it can feel overwhelming, but it’s a decision only you can make.

Living just got better

I’ve had a hearing problem since I was very young, so I grew up simply adapting, learning to read lips and relying on facing the speaker to get by. Things changed for me when my hearing loss began threatening my career; I was missing out on crucial information during company meetings and knew I needed to take action. My main hesitation about hearing aids was honestly one of vanity, but that disappeared once I was shown all the discreet options available at Brampton Hearing Aid. I never had any concerns about reaching out to them, especially since my ENT specialist, recommended them so highly. From day one, Brampton Hearing Aid made me feel genuinely cared for and welcomed, what I needed mattered to them, and they’ve always treated me like family. Thanks to my hearing aids, I no longer have to depend on lip reading, and I feel far more confident in meetings and group settings. I can now enjoy the simple pleasures, watching TV, following the plot at the theatre, feeling at ease while driving, without missing a beat. Living just got better. If you’re worried about your hearing, my advice is simple: just try it. Go see Jill and her team, you’ll be glad you did.

Ida C.

My hearing aids brought me a new confidence that continues to today.

I was a premature baby, which contributed to my hearing loss, and I believe I knew as young as five years old. I felt different and isolated. By Grade 2, hearing aids were discussed, which caused much anxiety, partly because of the strictness of doctor care at the time. After I moved from Toronto to Brampton, I wanted to join a new Hearing Centre. My first appointment at Brampton Hearing Aid felt like a godsend. The front office was very friendly and pleasant, and my first appointment with Patrick started a new fond relationship. I felt at ease right away as we discussed my hearing loss and the types of hearing aids that would benefit me.

My hearing aids brought me a new confidence that continues to this day, 30 years later. I am grateful and blessed to continue with the clinic and their services as my hearing needs change with age. My favourite thing is I can always find a solution promptly, and the friendly chats are enjoyable. If you are concerned about your hearing, the staff are friendly and kind, and will help you find the best hearing aid suitable for you.

Don’t deny yourself, it doesn’t matter how old or young you are.

I was blessed with ear infections growing up and as a result, I lost some of my hearing. In my late 40s, my family suggested it was time to get tested for hearing aids, and it was a bit of a shock to find out how much hearing I had lost. I didn’t have any fears as I was near needing a replacement and my Otolaryngologist recommended Brampton Hearing Aid Services. I was nervous at first, but after a few minutes I felt at ease. As a professional salesperson, hearing is a huge part of my livelihood. I wouldn’t be in this profession if I couldn’t hear the whole conversation.

Brampton Hearing is always there and accommodating when you need them most. They are the friendliest group of people. Don’t deny yourself, it doesn’t matter how old or young you are. The clinic will definitely take your hearing to where you don’t feel left out of a conversation.

They gave me hope that I could be able to hear clearly again and not continue with feeling depressed because of tinnitus and hearing loss.

I have had decades-long tinnitus and thought I would have to live with this condition and suffer forever. My first impression of Brampton Hearing Aid Services was that they were welcoming and assuring. After visiting the clinic and getting hearing aids, my life has become so much better and more enjoyable because I'm not living with depression from my hearing loss and tinnitus. Jill Black and her team truly care, and took the time, no matter how many visits it took, to make my hearing the best it could be. They gave me hope that I could hear clearly again and not continue feeling depressed.

Graham L.

Don’t hesitate, go right now if you have concerns about your hearing.

Around 1975, I realized that I had a problem with my hearing and was recommended to Brampton Hearing Aid Services by the doctor who tested me. It was the best choice I ever made. I am now 92 and still rely on them and the current owner, Jill Black. There is nothing so scary as to see someone speaking but you can’t hear them. Hearing aids can open up your life, like going to a concert or driving a car. The courtesy and professionalism of the staff stand out for me. Don’t hesitate, go right now if you have concerns about your hearing.

Robert C.

I encourage anyone with a hearing deficit to get their hearing assessed and buy a hearing aid.

I first realized I might have a hearing challenge when I felt embarrassed for not being able to hear questions or conversations correctly and had to ask people to repeat themselves. Before contacting Brampton Hearing Aid Services, I was concerned about the financial aspect since I knew hearing aids are not cheap. My first impression of the clinic was that they were welcoming, respectful, and knowledgeable. Now, with hearing aids, I feel comfortable and confident participating in conversations, knowing I have heard everything properly. I got a top-of-the-line hearing aid at an affordable price and excellent service. I encourage anyone with a hearing deficit to get their hearing assessed and buy a hearing aid because of its benefits, and to visit the clinic because of their expertise.

Nita B.

Do not hesitate for one minute longer. It will improve your life to stop striving to hear all the time and will make your more confident socially.

I had ear infections from a very early age, but it was not until I was quite old that I noticed real hearing loss. Constantly asking people to repeat themselves became tedious, so while attending an ENT specialist in the building, I made an appointment. They provided the necessary tests and then fitted me with the hearing aids I still wear today. The clinic supports me by providing cleaning services and quick appointments, and they are always sympathetic and understanding. I had no fear about consulting the clinic because they are so confident and supportive, and Jill Black gave me confidence right from the first visit. With occasional tweaking, my hearing aids are still very good after all these years.

Patricia K.

I would tell anyone concerned about their hearing to go and have their hearing checked right away.

I remember when someone had to yell at me to let me know a person was trying to talk to me as I was walking. I wondered if I would get my hearing back. My first impression of Brampton Hearing Aid Services was that they were very helpful. At first, I really appreciated my hearing aids because I could hear the sounds I had missed for a long time. Brampton Hearing works with you 100% to make sure you get the proper hearing service and treatment that works for you. I would tell anyone concerned about their hearing to go and have their hearing checked right away.

The clinic is very professional and great at solving client issues.

When my physician at the time perforated my right ear canal, I realized something was wrong with my hearing. I had no real concerns or fears before contacting Brampton Hearing Aid Services, and I felt very comfortable at my first visit. Now that I wear hearing aids, people don't have to scream at me to get my attention. The clinic is very professional and great at solving client issues. My favourite thing is the attention given to one's problem.

Harold E.

Very helpful and will assist in getting you what you need.

I realized something was up with my hearing when I was very young. Teachers were always around to help, and my mum would tell me not to stare at people, but I was actually lip reading without realizing it. I started with Brampton Hearing Aid Services in the early 80’s, and they have always been there to assist me. I had no fears before contacting them because they were always there to help me succeed in my career and life. My first impression was that they were very helpful and understanding. Hearing aids have greatly impacted my life. If you are concerned about your hearing, they are very helpful and will assist in getting you what you need. My favourite thing about working with them is how accommodating and helpful they are.

Gail A.

I have already recommended them to a friend and would say to anyone concerned about their hearing to visit Brampton Hearing Aid Services.

Since I was a kid, I realized I had a hearing challenge. I had no concerns before contacting Brampton Hearing Aid Services. My favourite thing about working with the clinic is that they are professional yet friendly. With the hearing aid, I can hear far better now. I have already recommended them to a friend and would say to anyone concerned about their hearing to visit Brampton Hearing Aid Services.

Yateesh A.

A hearing loss is more noticeable than a hearing aid.

I felt helpless and embarrassed when I realized that I was constantly asking friends and business colleagues to repeat themselves. My biggest concern before contacting Brampton Hearing Aid Services was the perception that only 'old people' needed hearing aids. When I heard the slogan "a hearing loss is more noticeable than a hearing aid," I had my hearing checked and began coming to the clinic. My first impression was very positive. I received excellent service and consultation.

I am 74 years of age, and without using hearing aids over the past 26 years, my personal and business life would have been much more difficult. I have said that the clinic is a significant positive impact on my life. My favourite thing is their excellent

Rob G.

If you have a problem, this is the place to go.

I first realized I might have a hearing challenge when my son told me the TV was too loud. Before contacting Brampton Hearing Aid Services, I was concerned about the cost of hearing aids, but when I visited, I felt welcome right away. The staff is friendly and efficient, and wearing hearing aids has made it easier to understand conversations in a crowd. If you have a problem, this is the place to go.

Think of their loved ones and neighbours, because hearing and understanding really go hand in hand when you have hearing loss.

I didn't think my hearing loss was as bad as it was until my doctor recommended a hearing test. I thought I was too young for hearing aids, but I decided that if I needed them for work, I'd go for it. My first impression of Brampton Hearing Aid Services was that they were professional and helpful. Their persistence to get the right fit for my needs stood out.

Now, I can hear conversations that wouldn't have been possible before, although there are still some limitations with sound amplification and Bluetooth software glitches that need improvement. I would tell anyone concerned about their hearing to lower their expectations and think of their loved ones and neighbours, because hearing and understanding really go hand in hand when you have hearing loss.

You couldn’t be in better hands, go for it!

I first noticed my hearing challenge when answering the phone at work. My biggest concern was not being able to do my job properly, but a co-worker who wore hearing aids shared with me the benefits of getting them early. I was excited about the opportunity to keep my hearing as long as possible, and hearing aids made that possible.

When I first visited Brampton Hearing Aid, I was welcomed into a friendly and pleasant environment, and my stress disappeared within minutes. The clinic always greets me like a friend. Hearing aids have made it possible for me to hear my grandchildren’s voices. If you’re concerned about your hearing, you couldn’t be in better hands, go for it!

Get tested. Get hearing aids. Enjoying hearing!

While still working, I noticed difficulty hearing people during conversations and in meetings. I did not have any major concerns before contacting Brampton Hearing Aid Services, just some worry about people seeing the hearing aids. My first impression was that everyone was very friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. The hearing aids have made a big difference, it is wonderful to hear conversations and not miss important information. The team provides friendly, professional service and is always there to help and make the hearing aids work for you.

You can't go wrong selecting this company.

As an audiometric tech, I was aware of my hearing reduction because I regularly did audiometer checks on my own hearing. I had known about Brampton Hearing Aid Services for many years. Wearing hearing aids has been like getting glasses, you suddenly realize how much better you see things. My favourite thing about working with them is the people who work there. You can't go wrong selecting this company.

The minute you walk in the door, everyone is family.

I was born deaf, but from the day I met Brampton Hearing Aid Services, it has been a great experience 39 years later. I had no fear whatsoever going in, because they make you feel comfortable. My first impression as a kid was the comfort and relaxation. Once you get used to the hearing aids, you do not even notice they are in your ears, the fit is so perfect and comfortable. I prefer the ones in the ear because they are just easier to deal with.

I have referred many people there. I always tell them, the minute you walk in the door, everyone is family. All the employees are polite and understanding. If hearing is difficult, they do not talk to you rudely, they bear with you and take their time. Life is simple and easy with them. They will explain everything, and there are no secrets or pressure. My favourite thing is the feeling of the gel molding to the ear shape, but most importantly, it is the comfort of being around everyone that works there.

Go for it.

I first realized I had a hearing challenge when I had trouble hearing from the back of a room during a conference. I had no concerns contacting Brampton Hearing Aid Services, and my first impression was that you were going to help me. Now, I feel more confident being able to hear. My favourite thing about working with the clinic is that they are very willing to help. If someone is concerned about their hearing and considering visiting, I would say, go for it.
